Devils Stay (2024) is a dark Korean horror–mystery film centered around a grieving father, a possessed girl, and a terrifying supernatural secret hidden inside a funeral ritual.

The story follows Cha Seung-do, a famous heart surgeon whose daughter So-mi begins showing horrifying signs of demonic possession. Desperate to save her, the family turns to a Catholic priest for an exorcism. The ritual appears successful at first — but it ends with So-mi suddenly dying.

During the traditional three-day funeral, Seung-do notices something impossible: his daughter’s heart still seems to be beating. While doctors and the priest insist she is dead, Seung-do becomes convinced that she may still be alive. At the same time, strange and disturbing events begin happening around her body, making everyone question whether an evil spirit is still inside her.

The movie slowly builds tension through creepy atmosphere, dark visuals, funeral-house horror, and emotional conflict between science and religion. Instead of relying only on jump scares, the film focuses on psychological fear and supernatural mystery.
